EA’s Battleforge Becomes Play 4 Free

Developer EA Phenomic has released a “Play 4 Free” version of their unique trading card strategy game.

The installation client is not available through Battleforge.com, offering those who download “full access to the BattleForge game, including all community features, scenarios, the recently launched Renegade campaign.” In addition, the game supports multiplayer for up to 12 online combatants.

The “Play 4 Free” edition starts the player off with 32 cards with more cards becoming available through microtransactions or trading with other players. The retail version packs 64 cards and 3000 Battleforge points for a price of $30.
