Out of Words is marking Valentine’s Day with a heartfelt, original poem written by acclaimed artist and “Game Poet” Morten Søndergaard. The development team shared the poem alongside a new visual asset, celebrating the themes of love, connection, and rediscovery that shape the game’s emotional core.
Developed by Kong Orange and WiredFly in collaboration with Søndergaard and published in partnership with Epic Games Publishing, Out of Words is a cooperative platforming adventure set to launch later this year.
Out of Words is a Co-Op Journey About Finding Your Voice
Out of Words invites players to step into the roles of Kurt and Karla as they search for their lost voices in a vibrant, handcrafted world. Designed for both online cross-platform play and couch co-op, the experience centers on collaboration, encouraging players to communicate and move in harmony to overcome obstacles.
The game’s striking aesthetic is built entirely by hand, giving its colorful environments a tactile, storybook-like quality. This artistic approach mirrors the project’s poetic foundation, with Søndergaard’s creative vision woven directly into the narrative and world design.
By sharing a Valentine’s Day poem, the team highlights the emotional themes that define Out of Words: connection, vulnerability, and the power of shared expression. Players can look forward to exploring this imaginative realm together when the co-op platformer launches later this year.
