Developer Strange Scaffold has announced that Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator will launch on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on March 26, 2026. The bizarre and satirical market sim originally debuted on PC via Steam earlier this year, and the upcoming console release will include all content currently available in the PC version.
From the same team behind I Am Your Beast, the game offers a sharp arcade-style satire of financial systems and corporate greed. Set in the same universe as the cult-favorite Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator, the game places players in the shoes of traders participating in a volatile intergalactic market focused on the simulated lifespans of alien infants.
Despite the absurd premise, the game leans heavily into social commentary, with players navigating fluctuating markets, hiring questionable consultants for insider information, and making risky trades based on the potential futures of their investments. Importantly, the infants themselves are entirely simulated, allowing the game to explore its themes through exaggerated satire rather than literal stakes.
Trading Across the Galaxy
Gameplay unfolds through a series of rapid-fire anthology campaigns where players step into the lives of different traders scattered across the universe. Across seven distinct planets, players speculate on procedurally generated alien baby “stocks,” making quick decisions to maximize profit while surviving the chaos of an unpredictable galactic economy.
Traders can take bold financial risks shorting a baby’s life if they believe its prospects look bleak, riding the highs of a Galactic Lottery payout, or relying on dubious advisors who claim to know which investments will soar. The experience is backed by a pulsing electro-industrial soundtrack composed by Kris Kirk, which adds to the game’s frantic, surreal atmosphere.
According to studio head Xalavier Nelson Jr., the console release should lead to some entertaining scenarios. “I’m so excited to have someone install this game on a console, and hand the controller to a baby,” Nelson Jr. joked in a statement. “In unrelated news, if a newborn child hammering buttons beats my own scores, I am swearing off of the stock market forever.”
Xbox Version Launching With Expanded Content
The Xbox launch will include all currently available PC content, featuring five additional campaigns, eight scenarios, and daily challenges that add replayability to the already chaotic trading experience.
Alongside the console release, Strange Scaffold is also preparing a major update for the PC version. The update will introduce three new campaigns, Terror, Charlie’s Big Day Out, and Wenbill’s Nightmare, as well as gameplay refinements, expanded accessibility options, and additional system improvements. The team plans to bring this update to Xbox as well, though a release window has not yet been confirmed.
