Weekend Games and Biscuit Factory Games have announced Papaya Plaza, a cozy pixel-art city-builder coming to PC via Steam. A playable demo is available now.
The game puts players in the role of mayor of a run-down tourist town, with the goal of turning it into a welcoming destination for villagers and visitors.
Restore a Sleepy Tourist Town
In Papaya Plaza, players can improve the town, open new stores, help villagers, and raise their Town Rank on the way to 5-Star status.
The game is designed around low-stress city-building, giving players freedom to shape the town at their own pace with hundreds of customization options.
Pixel Art From StefScribbles
The game features art direction from Stef Bollen, also known as StefScribbles, whose pixel-art style helps shape Papaya Plaza’s colorful village setting.
Villagers will bring problems and ideas to the player, with rewards available for helping them improve the town.
