Bracer Revealed as a Dark Fantasy SHMUP From Akupara Games

Curious Fate and Akupara Games have announced Bracer, a 3D fantasy shoot ’em up revealed during the MIX Summer Showcase.

The game follows three heroes fighting to stop a necromancer empowered by a cursed bracer. Players will battle through swamps, forests, gothic cities, and astral planes while dodging enemy fire and cutting through undead hordes.

Fantasy SHMUP With RPG Progression

Bracer takes classic SHMUP structure and gives it a fantasy spin. Players can choose from a Knight, Wizard, or Bounty Hunter, each with their own reasons for hunting the necromancer.

Combat focuses on fast movement, projectile dodging, enemy waves, and constant forward pressure. Players can collect gold, unlock skills, upgrade weapons, and bring one of 11 pets into battle.

Couch Co-Op and Endless Dungeon Mode

The game supports local couch co-op, letting two players fight through the campaign together. It also includes an Endless Dungeon mode for players looking to chase rewards, scores, and higher difficulty challenges.

Multiple difficulty settings will change enemy density, hazards, and boss encounters.

Bracer is available to wishlist now on Steam.
