Doom 3 Re-mastered for PS3 and Xbox 360

Bethesda is set to release a re-mastered version of “Doom 3” to release on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 this Fall.

Doom 3 BFG Edition features “Doom 3” and its expansion “Resurrection of Evil”, both of which are remastered in high-definition. Bethesda has also included new content titled “The Lost Mission” which features seven new levels.

The re-mastered version also features Xbox 360 Achievements, PlayStation 3 trophies, and a new check point system for smoother progression through the game. More importantly, flashlights can attach to guns in the re-mastered version without the help of mods.

“DOOM 3 was enthusiastically embraced by gamers worldwide at its release,” said John Carmack, Technical Director at id Software. “Today, the full experience has been enhanced and extended to be better than ever, and is delivered across all the platforms with a silky smooth frame rate and highly responsive controls.”

As an extra bonus, the original “Doom” and “Doom 2” are included in “Doom 3 BFG Edition.”
