Raw Power Games has released a new Chronicles: Medieval battle presentation, featuring 25 minutes of uncut gameplay shown behind closed doors at gamescom 2026.
The video focuses on planning, adapting, and commanding forces while fighting alongside soldiers on the battlefield.
Battle Takes the Spotlight
Lead Producer Sam Millen and Senior Game Designer Gareth Bourn lead the presentation.
Together, they break down how players can approach combat, respond to changing battlefield conditions, and manage troops during large-scale medieval fights.
Fight Alongside Your Army
Chronicles: Medieval lets players command soldiers while taking part in battles themselves.
That setup means players will need to think beyond their own character. Positioning, timing, and army control all factor into how fights play out.
A Historical Medieval Sandbox
Outside of combat, Chronicles: Medieval is a historically grounded sandbox set across the British Isles, France, and the Holy Roman Empire.
Players start from nothing, build a character, recruit and train an army, form alliances, and earn a reputation that follows them through the game.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5
Chronicles: Medieval is built with Unreal Engine 5 and Raw Power Games’ proprietary Asgard technology.
Raw Power Games previously showed the game’s exploration map, and this new presentation gives players a much longer look at how battles work.
