WipEout HD has been kept quiet for a while, and it was supposed to be a HUGE PSN Exclusive, but no longer is it in the shadows, we now get information on our Fall 1080p Racing Game! At 60FPS and at 1080p, the game will have some of the very same tracks from earlier games with nice touch-ups.
Seriously, this trailer shows why it didn’t pass an epilepsy test, if there is one of course that they failed:
WipEout HD has had some brand new updates that are quite awesome though:
– Split-screen offline play, which is demonstrated on the trailer which can be toggled vertically and horizontally.
– Online play up to 8 players on a single track racing.
– Trophy Support, more info. to come later on Trophies!
And for an additional challenge in WipEout HD, you can opt to use the SIXAXIS motion controls to steer their ship while blasting away opponents with the full arsenal of weapons. With lots of teams/ships to choose from, plenty of on and offline racing modes, crazy-fast HD racing and a remixed Dolby 5.1 surround sound soundtrack, your adrenaline will be pumping in no time. Trust me. And even though we think you’ll love the soundtrack, but in case you love your own music collection more, you can create a custom playlist on the PS3 XMB and listen to it while you race. Niiiiiiiice, right?!
