Spec Ops Pushed Back 2013, XCOM, Bioshock Release Next Year

More tidbits come out of Take-Two’s investor conference call today, this time, regarding the release schedule for the company. You may recall Spec Ops: The Line? (Our UK EiC Craig certainly remembers as he was pushed out of a Spec Ops appointment at last year’s E3.) However, if you don’t it’s probably a good thing because you’re not going to be playing it until 2013.

As for Bioshock Infinite, the company holds steadfast that they are positioning its release for “calendar year 2012,” so basically anytime within the next year. XCOM is slated for a release before March 31, 2012 barring another delay as we may have discussed previously that the studio head at 2K Marin had left the project and rumors are abound that the game is being retooled. We’ll get to see the game again this year and be sure to contrast the difference from our E3 2010 preview.

The next game from Rockstar Games is Max Payne 3 but it was left unmentioned. Its probably good to note that typical Rockstar Games projects are generally kept hush, hush until its ready for a media campaign.
