Final Fantasy XIII-2 launches January 2012 for North America

Square-Enix confirmed some news about Final Fantasy XIII-2 would appear at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego. Today’s press-release about their Comic-Con line-up announced the game will hit the shores of North America this January 2012, a month after its initial release in Japan this December. Emily Shoji of Square-Enix’s NA PR department also affirmed the release date on her twitter account a few hours ago. A European announcement for the game has yet to be made, but chances are it won’t be that much longer.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will launch simultaneously before Versus XIII on both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
