Gamescom ’11: Carbine’s Wildstar, the Next Big MMO

NCSoft hopes that Carbine Studios newly announced MMO Wildstar will be the “next big MMO.” Players will dive into the world of Nexus and explore its future fantasy setting with an iconic art style and content that “adapts to your playstyle and your actions.”

The previous inhabitants have mysteriously disappeared so races from all corners around the galaxy are rushing ot the Eldan homeworld to stake a claim and uncover its mysteries. There are four playstyles: Explorers, Soldiers, Scientists, and Settlers and the game utilizes “Momentum Mechanics” that will cater combat, challenges, and rewards to the playstyle choices of each individual player.
