Spelunker World Explores the PS4 Today

Square Enix has announced that Spelunker World, the free-to-play follow up to the popular Spelunker HD, can now be discovered on the PS4. Spelunker World has players take up the role of a Spelunker, as they follow the footsteps of their father, who went missing ten years ago.

The game can be played solo, or with up to six players online, as players search for legendary treasures and artifacts, while avoiding dangerous hazards, such as pitfalls, boulders, and ravenous creatures. Power ups and unlocks are said to be hidden all over, which allow players to customize their different skills and appearances, as well as pets that will provide aid. Additional in-game content will also be available for purchase.

Anyone who plays the game from November 11th to December 2nd will receive ten free cakes, which will allow players to use the “Doggie Dig” ability.
