Square Enix and PlatinumGames Announce Babylon’s Fall

Square Enix’s press conference included an unexpected game announcement: a new project being developed together with PlatinumGames called Babylon’s Fall.

Babylon’s Fall will be released in 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam). So far, its official website only shows the game’s logo and the E3 teaser trailer. The trailer mainly focuses on the world’s lore, running through a timeline of events that discuss the discovery of an energy source called the Oversoul, visions of an apocalypse, and the Day of Judgment, among other things.

It ends with a glimpse of four silhouetted characters, who may be the main protagonists.

Square Enix and PlatinumGames previously teamed up for Nier: Automata, which was highly praised. We hope to learn more about Babylon’s Fall soon.
