Haunted Dungeons: Hyakki Castle Now Haunting Consoles

Japanese publishing company Happinet has announced that Haunted Dungeons: Hyakki Castle, their spooky real-time dungeon-crawling RPG from last year, is now available on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Set in Japan’s Edo Period, Hyakki Castle has players battle against monstrous Yokai in order to protect the Shogun order. The game features a unique two-party system that, as I noted in my review of the PC release, I found to be quite interesting.

Masaru Saito, Producer of Haunted Dungeons: Hyakki Castle, commented on the console release:

We’re excited to bring such a challenging real-time RPG to living rooms and on console platforms. We hope to bring out the Dungeon Masters in everyone who plays Haunted Dungeons: Hyakki Castle as the game proudly showcases deep roots of Ancient Japanese folklore and delivers a unique experience like no other.

Haunted Dungeons: Hyakki Castle is now available on the Playstation Store and Nintendo Switch eShop for $13.99. For more information, check out the gameplay trailer above.
