Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gameplay Reveal, No Dark Side Path Confirmed

At E3 2019, EA’s live stream presentations included the first look at gameplay for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Respawn’s single-player action adventure Star Wars game.

They showed a 15-minute gameplay demo, which follows protagonist Cal Kestis on the Wookie home planet of Kashyyyk, where he has been tasked with freeing the Wookies to disrupt the Empire’s operations. The gameplay demo included a look at Fallen Order’s lightsaber combat and Force powers, as well as introducing Cal’s droid companion BD-1.

After the gameplay discussion, they spoke briefly about Jedi: Fallen Order. Among other details, they confirmed that there will be no option to pick between the light side and the dark side, which many past Star Wars games have included. Instead, Fallen Order is intended to be focused on a Jedi story.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 15.

They’ve listed Metroid Prime as a major inspiration for how exploration and progression are handled, and Dark Souls as a major inspiration for other aspects of gameplay, so it sounds like it’ll be pretty different from Jedi Academy.
