Super Meat Boy Forever Slides Onto PC This Month

At tonight’s Video Game Awards, Team Meat announced a release date for the long-awaited Super Meat Boy Forever. Set to release on the Epic Games Store on December 23rd, Super Meat Boy Forever will cost $19.99, or $17.99 as part of a 10% off pre-order bonus. The platformer once again follows Meat Boy as he and Bandage Girl try to save their child, Nugget, from the vile Dr. Fetus. Levels are randomly generated in a unique way that makes every playthrough truly unique.

Team Meat co-founder and programmer Tommy Refenes commented on the news:

Super Meat Boy was a massive success that changed my life forever and people had been clamoring for a sequel for ages. But I didn’t just want to deliver more of the same and call it a day. Meat Boy deserved more than that. I wanted to rebuild Meat Boy from the ground up, in a way that would offer an entirely new experience that still hits all the same kinetic, addictive notes as its predecessor. I know Super Meat Boy Forever took forever to make but we’re confident that it was worth the wait.
