El Shaddai Releasing in April

Revealed last month as being in development, we now have a clearer release timeline for the PC version of the cult classic El Shaddai. Originally released back in 2011, El Shaddai (or more appropriately, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron) was an immediate cult hit with its unique art style and gameplay. I never got a chance to try it out so I’m eager to finally be able to check the game out when it drops later next month.

The story is inspired by the apocryphal Book of Enoch, and follows a scribe seeking seven fallen angels to prevent a great flood from destroying mankind. He is helped in his quest by Lucifel, a guardian angel in charge of the protection of the world who exists outside of the flow of time, alongside four Archangels: Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel.
