Alan Wake II Gameplay Shown at Summer Game Fest

The long-awaited Alan Wake II was featured at Summer Game Fest, with new details provided about the upcoming sequel. Sam Lake took the stage to discuss how the story will be divided between the two playable characters, returning protagonist Alan Wake and newcomer Saga Anderson. There will be a 50-50 split between the two, and you can switch between them. He went on to say that you can choose to stick with one character until near the end before switching, or hop back and forth between them.

After the interview, they went on to show a few minutes of gameplay, our first extended look at Alan Wake II. While it isn’t a long segment, it does show a combat encounter.

Alan Wake II will be out on October 17 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
