One of the games announced at the Xbox Games Showcase is Mixtape, a game that focuses on teenage friendships and iconic music. Developed by Beethoven & Dinosaur and published by Annapurna Interactive, Mixtape is described as a “coming-of-age action adventure” that follows three teenagers remembering their friendship as they head to the final party before they graduate from high school.
In addition to a nostalgic storyline, one of the big draws is the music featured in the game. It includes music from DEVO, Roxy Music, Lush, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iggy Pop, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, and more.
Mixtape will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S and Windows, and will also be available on PlayStation 5 and Steam. It is planned for release in 2025.
