Blade & Soul Heroes Shows Off Eight Minutes of Gameplay

NC America has released an extended look at Blade & Soul Heroes, an all-new free-to-play collectible action MMORPG, with eight uninterrupted minutes of gameplay that debuted during Summer Game Fest and IGN Live last week. The video gives fans a clear taste of the game’s distinctive dual-combat system and character-driven tactical focus.

Blending fast-paced real-time action with strategic turn-based mechanics, Blade & Soul Heroes offers a unique spin on the traditional MMORPG format. Players will unlock and collect a wide range of “Heroes,” assembling parties that can be customized for powerful combo attacks, strategic counters, and high-stakes boss fights.Screenshot from the game Blade & Soul Heroes Turn-Based Battle

A New Chapter in the Blade & Soul Universe

While set in the same martial arts-inspired world as the original Blade & Soul, Heroes introduces a new collectible structure where players build teams from a growing roster of heroes, each with unique abilities and roles. The combat showcases fluid, cinematic animation during real-time skirmishes, while tougher encounters pivot to a turn-based format that emphasizes tactical execution and character synergy.

The eight-minute gameplay video reveals how these systems work in tandem, spotlighting a few early-game boss encounters and hero interactions.

Pre-Registration Now Open

Players can wishlist Blade & Soul Heroes on Steam and PURPLE, and pre-register for launch rewards on the game’s official website. No release date has been confirmed yet, but the footage confirms the game is targeting a global audience with full English localization and platform support.
