Arc System Works has announced Demon’s Night Fever, a wild and unapologetically chaotic strategy RPG in development for a 2026 release. Described as a “training RTA simulation RPG,” the game puts players in the bloodstained boots of a bored, disillusioned teenager who teams up with a powerless self-proclaimed evil god to raise hell—literally.
In Demon’s Night Fever, players will steal, kill, and kidnap their way to power in a strategy RPG where dying (a lot) is part of the game plan. The more allies and enemies you lose, the stronger your crew becomes. This irreverent twist on genre conventions comes from an all-star creative team: writer and director Shinkawa Sohei (known for numerous simulation RPGs), character designer Hinata Yuji, and composer Yano Tatsuya.
Kill, Die, Repeat
Billed as a “one-of-a-kind game,” Demon’s Night Fever turns traditional RPG goals upside-down. The mechanics reward aggression, moral flexibility, and reckless strategy, creating what the developers call a “Kill, kill, kill enemies and allies” loop. Death is not just expected—it’s encouraged.
With mechanics that center around rapid progression and training through repeated failure, the game aims to push players to embrace creative brutality and think tactically in unconventional ways.
A Story of Evil in All Its Glory
The narrative follows Kyoshiro, a withdrawn, world-weary boy, whose dull life takes a twisted turn when he’s approached by a fallen evil god. Together, they’ll carve a path through a morally bankrupt world, performing acts of increasingly outrageous villainy. This unorthodox coming-of-age tale plays with themes of power, consequence, and catharsis, with dark humor and high-stakes strategy at its core.
Demon’s Night Fever is currently in development, with platforms to be announced in the future. It is developed by Drecom Co., Ltd. under SuperNiche LLC, and will be published by Arc System Works.
