If you’ve ever dreamed of clumsily dragging a body through a diner without getting caught, Hide The Corpse is the VR experience for you. After making waves on Meta Quest, developer Realcast and publisher HyperVR Games are bringing the over-the-top, slapstick stealth sim to PlayStation VR 2 on August 18, as revealed during the UploadVR showcase.
Clean Up Fast… or Go to Jail
In Hide The Corpse, players are tasked with hiding the hilariously floppy Gus before the cops show up. You’ve got four minutes to move through a scene, stash the body, and eliminate incriminating evidence—from bloody fingerprints to very suspicious objects. Each level offers its own chaotic challenges, with plenty of things to trip over and ridiculous hiding places to discover.
Levels include:
- Retro Diner – Match Gus’s loud ‘70s shirt with the décor
- Sunken Ship – Send evidence to the ocean floor
- Museum – Dodge security lasers and blend into high art
- Zero-G Spaceship – Float your way out of felony charges
- Modern Apartment – Hide in plain sight among cluttered chaos
Customize Gus and Embrace the Weird
Points earned for hiding evidence can be spent on costumes—because nothing says “innocent” like dressing your corpse in a disco suit or a superhero outfit. Gus can also become a zombie, a ghost, or even a villain, depending on your flair for the dramatic. Game modifiers add extra layers of absurdity, like the Gas Crisis modifier, where Gus’s powerful flatulence sends him flying across the room. Seriously.
Coming Soon to SteamVR
Hide The Corpse is already available on Meta Quest for $14.99, and the SteamVR version is in the works, but PS VR2 players can join the corpse-concealing fun when it hits PlayStation Store on August 18, 2025.
More details are available on the official PlayStation Store and Meta Quest Store. Join the HyperVR Games community on Twitter, TikTok, and Discord to stay in the loop.
