Grab your katana, don your finest sombrero, and get ready to raise hell in Mexican Ninja, the newly announced retro-inspired 2.5D beat-’em-up roguelike from Colombian developer Madbricks and publisher Amber. Set in the hyper-stylized streets of Nuevo Tokyo, Mexican Ninja drops players into a neon-drenched dystopia ruled by a cartel-yakuza fusion gang called the Narkuza. It’s up to you to rebel—with style.
Fight with Flair
Mexican Ninja is more than fists and fury—this roguelike beat-’em-up demands sharp reflexes, strategic movement, and stylish execution. Each randomized run through the city’s chaotic sectors includes trash-talking minibosses, experimental weapon builds, and unlockable “Mexican Jutsus” that radically shift your combat style.
Train under el Mero Mero Sensei, unlock new ninja arts, and win the blessing of mystical Mexican-Japanese spirits to power up your arsenal. But don’t just fight—look good doing it. Hidden outfits, sunglasses, and over-the-top apparel let you brawl with maximum drip.
Lore, Laughs, and Las Katanas
The game’s world mixes Mexican and Japanese influences in wild and unexpected ways, from corrupt ramen-stained back alleys to techno-cantinas blasting norteño synthwave. But beneath the humor and ultra-violence is a deeper story about rebellion, identity, and finding your inner cabrón.
Mexican Ninja has always been about the longing for the hero our culture needs,” said writer/director Carlos Rincones. “It’s not just a game—it’s a vibe, a spirit, a way of being. I hope players embrace the chaos, get their asses kicked, and come out stronger ninjas for it.”
