Naraka: Bladepoint is officially four years old, and NetEase and 24 Entertainment are ringing in the anniversary with the launch of a brand-new season, Fission, starting July 8. The Naraka Fest Direct event delivered a flurry of announcements, headlined by the introduction of a new extraction-style mode, a flashy new hero, and the return of some fan-favorite collaborations.
Rift Traversal: Naraka Goes Full Extraction
The biggest shake-up this season is Rift Traversal, a brand-new extraction mode that combines Naraka’s signature melee combat with the thrill of treasure hunting and survival. Players will scour the landscape of Holoroth for loot, fight off rivals, and attempt to escape safely by locating the mysterious Aegis Tree. Along the way, they’ll have access to powerful new tools like the Mole Hook, plus the ability to forge high-tier weapons with unique abilities.
Outside the match, a new cultivation system gives players more long-term progression: crafting gear, trading items, upgrading attributes, and decorating personal collection rooms.
New Hero: Inor Wan, Thunder’s Voice
The cinematic anniversary trailer revealed the newest playable hero: Inor Wan, also known as Thunder’s Voice. He can literally become lightning, allowing him to flash around the battlefield with high evasion and unleash rapid blade strikes. His arrival adds a fast-paced, high-mobility option to the growing cast and will launch with the new season.
Anniversary Rewards and Divine Cosmetics
To celebrate the game’s fourth year, Naraka is giving away some incredible in-game loot. Players who log in during the anniversary will receive:
- Free EXTREME skin for the Greatsword: Dragon Epoch
- 6 new Legendary outfits as part of the anniversary giveaway
- Return of the NieR collaboration, previously one of the game’s most popular events
- Phase two of the Bruce Lee collaboration, returning July 9 with fresh outfits for Akos Hu and Lannie
The new Fission season also adds two divine cosmetics:
- Yoto Hime’s “Doll Dream” outfit, featuring dual forms
- Katana skin “Blade Mystique,” based on Tai Chi’s yin-yang motif
More seasonal cosmetics from the Reversal Flows collection will roll out over time.
A Year Full of Momentum
Naraka: Bladepoint continues to evolve, blending high-speed martial arts with experimental modes that push the genre forward. The anniversary celebration makes it a perfect time for veterans to return or new players to dive in. The game remains free-to-play on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and this new season offers plenty of fresh content, progression systems, and community rewards.
