Screamer’s New Key Art Reveals First Look at Five Racers in Upcoming Anime Racing Game

Milestone has unveiled the official key art for Screamer, the neon-drenched, anime-inspired arcade racing game coming in 2026 to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Alongside the artwork reveal comes our first look at five of the game’s racers—each ready to throw down in a high-stakes underground tournament that blends futuristic speed with explosive drama.

The art, crafted by legendary Japanese animation studio Polygon Pictures (Transformers Prime, Ajin), features a striking composition: five unique racers and their vehicles barreling through the cyberpunk streets of Neo Rey, with one car caught mid-explosion. Looming over them is a mysterious masked figure, teasing a narrative twist behind the chaos.

Racing With a Story to Tell

Developed by Milestone, best known for its motorsport pedigree, Screamer represents a bold genre pivot, fusing arcade racing gameplay with a strong narrative focus. The game pits players in a city-wide tournament run from the shadows, where every race is personal and every driver has something to prove or hide.

While gameplay specifics r emain under wraps, the new key art suggests a world filled with vehicular combat, character-driven rivalries, and anime-stylized energy.

This is the first official look at any of Screamer’s racers, each boasting a distinct silhouette and personality that hints at the game’s deeper worldbuilding and high-octane drama. It’s not just about crossing the finish line—it’s about surviving the ride.
