Anno 117: Pax Romana Reveals Albion Province and Demo at Gamescom 2025

Ubisoft unveiled a fresh look at Anno 117: Pax Romana during Gamescom, spotlighting Albion, a mysterious Celtic province where myths, rites, and wild landscapes collide with Roman ambition. Developed by Ubisoft Mainz, the latest entry in the long-running city builder franchise tasks players with expanding the Roman Empire across diverse provinces, each offering unique challenges, choices, and consequences.

Anno 117: Pax Romana launches worldwide on November 13, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Connect.

Albion: Land of Myths and Tradition

Far from Rome’s marble columns, Albion is a land of wetlands, rituals, and Celtic traditions. As governor, players must decide whether to preserve these customs or push Roman ideals of progress and conquest. The new Romanization system deepens this choice, allowing players to balance integration with native culture or enforce imperial order.

Exploration also ties into Albion’s lore. Players can unlock an expanded pantheon of deities—including Epona, Mercury-Lugus, and the horned god Cernunnos—each granting unique benefits depending on the empire’s direction. Alongside new gods, technological advancements such as marsh drainage highlight Rome’s engineering prowess and introduce fresh ways to shape Albion’s future.

Choice, Power, and Consequence

As with past Anno games, governance in Pax Romana comes with consequences. The province chosen, the gods worshiped, the technologies pursued, and the methods of enforcing peace all ripple across the empire. In Albion, these decisions will define whether Rome leaves behind a legacy of integration or domination.
