The cozy adventure just got a little more magical. During today’s Nintendo Direct, Sunblink and Sanrio officially announced Wheatflour Wonderland, the first-ever DLC for the award-winning Hello Kitty Island Adventure. The expansion whisks players off to a whimsical new world full of stained-glass castles, secret ruins, and brand-new friends—including Sanrio’s flour fairy herself, Cogimyun.
Wheatflour Wonderland launches September 18 on Nintendo Switch and Steam for $14.99, free for Apple Arcade subscribers, and is coming soon to PlayStation 5.
A Magical Mess, a New World, and a New Friend
Things take a turn for the fantastical when My Melody and Kuromi accidentally spill a magical potion in Hello Kitty’s café—opening a portal to Wheatflour Wonderland. Here, players meet Cogimyun, the shy wheatflour spirit who desperately needs help restoring the Wheatflour Guardians and unlocking the Ancient Citadel rumored to hold untold treasure.
What’s New in Wheatflour Wonderland?
This DLC is Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s biggest expansion to date, adding hours of new content and mechanics to explore:
- New Friends – Befriend Cogimyun, Cogimyon, and Ebi Fry. Unlock 35 levels of friendship with Cogimyun, complete with quests, powers, and themed furniture sets.
- Magic Wands – Craft and customize your own magic wands to solve puzzles, explore new areas, and even transform into critters and items.
- Wheathearts & Rewards – Discover 100 Wheathearts hidden around the new world and trade them at the Wheatheart Tree for exclusive themed prizes.
- New Recipes – Gather Noodle Grass and whip up new dishes like instant ramen and spaghetti with meatballs.
- Outfits & Guardians – Unlock a slew of magical outfits and accessories, and take your place as one of the mythical Wheatflour Guardians.

Originally launched on Apple Arcade, Hello Kitty Island Adventure has grown into a genre pioneer—blending laid-back activities like cooking and decorating with classic adventure elements like quests and puzzle-solving.
