Bandai Namco has released a brand-new comparison trailer for Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac, giving fans a closer look at how the 2002 classic has been rebuilt for modern platforms. The remake launches on September 26, 2025. It is now available for pre-order on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in both Digital Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions.
A Classic Adventure, Reimagined
Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac faithfully recreates the original’s vibrant worlds and memorable foes with modernized visuals and gameplay refinements. In the story, Pac-Man sets out to recover the stolen golden fruit from the villainous ghost Spooky, taking him across six distinct environments in Pac-Land.
The comparison trailer showcases side-by-side footage of the original 2002 release and the upcoming remake, highlighting new lighting, textures, animations, and environmental detail. Boss battles have also received complete overhauls, including a fully reworked fight against Clyde’s Killer Frog.
Modern Platforming Improvements
While the remake remains faithful to the original’s platforming charm, Bandai Namco has added quality-of-life updates for today’s players. Features such as jump aim assist improve control during precision jumps, while updated physics give movement a more responsive feel without losing the original’s personality.
Fans can also spot enhanced redesigns for Spooky and the iconic Ghost Gang—Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde—bringing them to life with sharper models and expressive animations.
