During the latest PlayStation State of Play, GungHo Online Entertainment revealed Let It Die: Inferno, the apocalyptic sequel to the cult-classic survival action game Let It Die. The game will release on December 3, 2025, for PlayStation 5 and PC, priced at $24.99 for the Standard Edition. Pre-orders are now available via the PlayStation Store, with Steam pre-orders to follow soon.
Instead of climbing the iconic Tower of Barbs, this new entry takes players into Hell Gate, a vast, shifting abyss formed from a cataclysmic event. Within its depths, time and space are distorted, and strange hybrid creatures roam. At the heart of this descent lies the mythical Eye of the Reaper, a legendary treasure said to grant the power to rule the world.
Survive PvEvP Chaos
Players step into the role of immortal explorers known as Raiders, descending into Hell Gate in search of the Eye of the Reaper. Survival is brutal: grotesque monsters, hostile humans, and rival players await in a dynamic PvEvP system.
Each run presents new dangers, as stage layouts and item placements shift with every attempt. To survive, players must adapt on the fly, combining weapons and abilities to overcome both AI threats and unpredictable player encounters. Failure sends the Raiders back to the start, making every decision carry weight.
For those looking to truly test their skills, Let It Die: Inferno also offers competitive PvP matches, where Raiders can clash head-to-head in chaotic survival battles.
Editions, Pre-Orders, and TGS Demo
Let It Die: Inferno will be available in three editions:
- Standard Edition – $24.99
- Deluxe Edition – $44.99
- Ultimate Edition – $59.99
Players who pre-order will receive exclusive in-game rewards at launch. Fans attending the Tokyo Game Show 2025 can be among the first to try the game with a playable demo at booth 04-C03 from September 25 to 28, 2025.
A Twisted Return to the Franchise
With expanded lore, returning characters like Uncle Death, and a more unpredictable survival loop, Let It Die: Inferno pushes the series into even darker territory while retaining its trademark humor. Fans can mark their calendars for December 3, when chaos begins again.
