GungHo Online Entertainment is bringing chaos, carnage, and Uncle Death back to life as Let It Die: Inferno becomes playable for the first time during Steam Next Fest, beginning October 13. Fans can download the free demo on Steam and dive into the infernal depths of Hell Gate until October 20, ahead of the game’s full release this December.
Descend, Die, Repeat
The Let It Die: Inferno demo offers a hands-on taste of the upcoming rogue-lite survival action game, letting players explore its hellish labyrinths, face monstrous foes, and survive against both AI and real players in the series’ signature PvEvP system. Every death reshapes the battlefield, forcing players to adapt on the fly as they scavenge for weapons, upgrades, and precious loot.
During Steam Next Fest, players can also catch a new trailer spotlighting the game’s prologue and watch Dev Diary #13, where Director Hideyuki Shin and the ever-charismatic Uncle Death reveal new enemies like the Scampavian and Yotsuyama Sentry, alongside details about upcoming features.
From Tower to Inferno
A direct successor to the cult classic Let It Die, which amassed more than nine million players worldwide, Let It Die: Inferno pushes the franchise into an even darker and more chaotic era. Set after the cataclysm known as Earth Rage, the story drops players into Hell Gate, a massive rift swallowing what’s left of civilization. As an immortal explorer, players must descend through the ever-shifting depths to uncover the mythical Eye of the Reaper, said to grant dominion over the world itself.
Every run through Hell Gate changes layouts, loot, and enemies are procedurally reshuffled, ensuring that no two descents are ever the same. Players can take on grotesque monsters, rival explorers, and one another in PvEvP combat or jump into the dedicated PvP mode for pure competitive carnage.
