Bandai Namco has revealed a brand-new trailer for Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac, a full remake of the iconic 2002 action-platformer. Launching on September 26, 2025, the game is now available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The trailer highlights the remake’s enhanced visuals, expanded levels, and updated boss fights, alongside fresh features designed to make Pac-Man’s adventure through Pac-Land feel bigger and brighter than ever.
New Mechanics and Fresh Features
Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac modernizes the platforming formula with a range of new abilities. Pac-Man can now unleash a Super Butt Bounce, glide across icy terrain with Ice Skating, and even take to the water with the Pac-Marine. Returning moves like the Flip Kick and Snorkeling have been refined for smoother controls.
A new Fairy Mode introduces a more accessible option for players, making platforming sections easier and granting Pac-Man temporary invulnerability against certain hazards. Boss fights have also been reimagined, with new enemies joining Spooky and the Ghost Gang to test Pac-Man’s skills.
Beyond the Main Adventure
For players looking for added challenge, a new Time Attack Mode allows speedrunners to compete on global leaderboards. The in-game Village Arcade also offers a nostalgia trip, with three classic titles included: the original Pac-Man, Pac-Attack, and Pac-Mania. Collectible hunters can also spend earned coins on Gashapon machines to unlock digital figurines of Pac-Man characters.
Couch Co-Op for the First Time
One of the most exciting additions is the introduction of two-player local co-op, letting friends join forces for the first time in the Pac-Man World series. Together, players can traverse Pac-Land’s six worlds from grassy meadows to fiery volcanoes and take on the Ghosts in cooperative action.
