NEXON has rolled out a massive new update for its free-to-play looter-shooter The First Descendant, headlined by the debut of Ultimate Luna and the brand-new Lounge feature. Alongside these major additions, the patch also includes fresh Trigger Modules, a rework for Lepic, a new Fellow, and a variety of in-game events.
Meet Ultimate Luna
Luna now has an upgraded form: Ultimate Luna. This version introduces two new upgrade modules—Battlefield Concert, which lets her dish out long-range damage, and Battlefield Artist, allowing her to wield firearms in battle.
The Lounge: A New Social Hub
The update also brings the Lounge, a customizable social space in Albion where players can display collectibles like Descendants, Fellows, and Hoverbikes. Descendants can even interact with the environment—sitting on sofas, playing instruments, or sketching. While currently designed as a solo showcase, NEXON has plans to expand the Lounge to allow players to visit each other’s spaces in the future.
New Trigger Modules in Axion Plains
Three new Trigger Modules are now available to experiment with:
- Storm Bullet: Creates an orb that deals continuous damage at impact.
- Tactical Acceleration: Boosts shooting and movement abilities for you and nearby allies.
- Blazing Zone: Spawns an orb that inflicts continuous damage when using towing skills.
These modules can be farmed within the Axion Plains.
Snowy Sled Dog Fellow
The update introduces Snowy Sled Dog, a new Fellow companion that restores MP and provides strong support for skill-heavy Descendants.
Lepic Rework and Balance Adjustments
Lepic has been reworked to improve mobility and synergy:
- Better long-range support capabilities
- Enhanced grenade mechanics with burn synergy
- An improved Overclock skill for high DPS
Other Descendants, including Blair, Freyna, and Bunny, have also received balance tweaks.
In-Game Events and Skins
To celebrate the update, multiple events are live:
- Sing Along with Luna: Missions reward players with items like Photon Imprinter and the Full Moon Guitarist back attachment.
- Collectible Merchants Event: Earn collectible coins from missions to purchase displayable items for the Lounge.
- Luna’s Music Journal: A daily login event with rewards including catalysts, accelerators, and a themed chest attachment.
The update also brings new skins, including Ultimate Luna’s full-body skin and Serena’s premium Ancient Angel outfit.
QoL Improvements
Rounding out the update are quality-of-life upgrades, including better leaderboard build viewing and improved party search recommendations.
With Ultimate Luna, the Lounge, and all-new events, this is one of The First Descendant’s most feature-packed updates yet.
