Games From The Abyss and publisher DreadXP have announced that their outrageous survival horror title, The Lacerator, will launch on October 9th, 2025. To celebrate, a brand-new trailer has dropped, showcasing the game’s mix of over-the-top gore, dark humor, and limb-shredding chaos.
Grindhouse Horror Meets Survival Gameplay
Inspired by retro survival horror and 80s slasher flicks, The Lacerator puts players in the gruesome lair of the sadistic killer known only by the game’s title. Survival means more than solving puzzles and fighting back; your very limbs determine your fate. Lose an arm or a leg, and not only does gameplay shift, but entire narrative branches open or close depending on your condition.
Meet Max: Porn Star Turned Survivor
The game stars Max, a famous adult film actor whose shoot goes horribly wrong when The Lacerator crashes the set. Abducted into a filthy hideout, Max must endure bloody trials, shifting escape routes, and narrative twists depending on what parts of him are left intact. Each route reveals unique story fragments, pushing players to replay if they dare to piece together the full picture.

The October launch builds upon the game’s demo, introducing new endings, weapons, characters, and items. Players can expect plenty of surprises and plenty of dismemberment when The Lacerator arrives in English and Brazilian Portuguese on Steam.
