Spilt Milk Studios has announced that their cozy, upcycling shopkeeping sim Trash Goblin is now officially Steam Deck Verified thanks to the game’s latest 1.2 “Steam Deck N Stuff” update. The update also adds full gamepad support, keyboard and mouse controls, 25 new trinkets, and the festive Harvest Festival cosmetic set, making this the most content-packed update yet for the fan-favorite indie.
Steam Deck Verified and Ready to Upcycle Anywhere
Fans can now clean, restore, and tinker with trinkets from anywhere, as Trash Goblin’s newest update brings optimized Steam Deck support for smooth, on-the-go shopkeeping. The update ensures players can enjoy all the goblin goodness without sacrificing performance or accessibility.
In addition to Steam Deck certification, Trash Goblin now supports full controller input alongside traditional keyboard and mouse, giving players more ways to play comfortably.
“One of our most requested features this summer was Steam Deck and gamepad support,” said Andrew Smith, Creative Director at Spilt Milk Studios. “We prioritised letting players engage with Trash Goblin however they want to. We also wanted to expand our trinket library, adding a plethora of new combinations for creative goblins to tinker with!”
New Trinkets, Autumn Vibes, and Future Plans
The update introduces 25 new trinkets for players to discover, clean, and combine in creative ways, further expanding the upcycling sandbox. To celebrate the season, players can also outfit their goblin with the Harvest Festival cosmetic set, featuring warm autumnal colors and pumpkin spice flair.
Spilt Milk Studios has confirmed that this isn’t the last update, either; more content and features are planned for future patches.
