Bandai Namco has announced that the Sonic the Hedgehog Collaboration Set DLC is now available for Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC, marking the first-ever crossover between PAC-MAN and Sonic. The DLC adds three new Sonic-inspired levels, new collectibles, and customization options featuring characters and elements from Sega’s iconic franchise.
The collaboration expands the Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac remake, which launched in September as part of PAC-MAN’s 45th Anniversary celebration. The DLC and base game are available now on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
Explore South Pac-Island and New Sonic-Inspired Acts
The new DLC introduces South Pac-Island, a fresh region featuring three fast-paced Acts inspired by Sonic’s Green Hill Zone. Players will dash through loops, bounce on springs, and zip through dash rings, all classic mechanics from the Sonic series, now reimagined in PAC-MAN’s colorful world.
Familiar Sonic enemies such as Moto Bug, Buzz Bomber, and Dr. Eggman make appearances, culminating in a boss battle that even features Sonic himself lending PAC-MAN a helping hand.
Collectibles, Customization, and Co-op Fun
Alongside the new stages, the DLC adds:
- 20 collectible figures featuring Sonic, Tails, Shadow, and other favorites for decorating Pac-Village.
- A Sonic the Hedgehog costume, letting PAC-MAN sport blue spikes, gloves, and red shoes.
Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac itself is a full remake of the PlayStation-era classic, featuring six worlds, enhanced gameplay, and full voice acting for the main cast. The remake also introduces a 2-player couch co-op mode, a first for the Pac-Man World series, letting players take on Team Ghost and the villain Spooky together.
