Annapurna Interactive and Australian studio Beethoven & Dinosaur have announced that Mixtape will release on May 7, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The coming-of-age adventure will also launch day one on Nintendo Switch 2 and be available at release through Xbox Game Pass for Series X|S and Windows.
A newly revealed release date trailer sets the tone for what the developers describe as a “greatest hits” of teenage memories, blending music, nostalgia, and interactive storytelling into a heartfelt final-night adventure.
A Playable Coming-of-Age Soundtrack
Mixtape follows three high school friends on their last night together before life pulls them in different directions. On their way to one final party, a carefully curated playlist transforms the evening into a series of dreamlike, playable memories. Each vignette explores formative moments from first kisses to last dances, capturing the emotional highs and lows of adolescence.
The game leans into stylized presentation and musical storytelling, drawing inspiration from classic coming-of-age films. Themes of growth, transformation, friendship, and bittersweet goodbyes shape the experience, delivering what the studio calls “the teenage wasteland” in interactive form.
