LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has released a new developer video focused on the Batcave, offering a closer look at the underground headquarters that will serve as a central hub in the upcoming game.
Narrated by Jonathan Smith, Strategic Director and Head of Development Team at TT Games, the new video shows how the Batcave expands as players move through the campaign. The space will serve as the main operations center beneath Wayne Manor, where players can manage suits, vehicles, gadgets, trophies, and other progression-related features.
Batcave serves as the game’s central hub
According to Warner Bros. Games, the Batcave will evolve over the course of the story and function as the main base for players throughout the game.
It will house a wide selection of collectible Batsuits, including the Golden Age suit inspired by Batman’s first appearance in Detective Comics #27 in 1939, as well as more recent suits such as the one featured in The Batman (2022). In total, the game includes 100 outfits for playable characters, with suits for Batman and his allies.
Batmobiles and Batcycles will also be stored in the Batcave
The Batcave also acts as a garage for Batman’s vehicles, featuring multiple versions of the Batmobile and Batcycle recreated in LEGO form.
Warner Bros. Games says the lineup includes vehicles inspired by the Batman TV series (1966–1968), Batman (1989), Batman Forever (1995), and The Dark Knight Trilogy. Players will also be able to use the Batcave to upgrade gadgets, review case files through the Batcomputer, display trophies, and customize the environment with LEGO-themed furnishings.
