Neverway Gets October Release Window as Free Steam Prologue Launches

Neverway is set to launch in October 2026 for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch, developer Coldblood Inc. announced alongside a new trailer and a free playable prologue now available on Steam.

The life sim RPG with psychological horror elements follows Fiona, a woman who leaves her dead-end job to start over on a farm, only to become the immortal herald of a dead god. The newly released prologue offers an early look at both the opening of the game and a later section that hints at the darker reality beneath Fiona’s new life.

Free prologue available now on Steam

The Neverway prologue is available now as a free download on Steam. According to the team, it includes around an hour of gameplay, beginning with Fiona’s arrival at her new island home before shifting into a later segment that reveals more of the game’s psychological horror angle.

That section places players in a strange simulation where Fiona begins to uncover memories and confront the nightmare reality known as Neverway, which is gradually blending into her everyday life.
