Second Stone has received a new trailer as Skyward Entertainment and Headup announced their collaboration on the upcoming narrative-driven adventure RPG.
The new trailer offers another look at the game’s combat, art style, and RPG systems ahead of its release on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.
A two-world action RPG
Second Stone follows Shiren, a young protagonist searching for a lost spirit guardian while moving through two fractured worlds that are on the edge of collision.
The game combines action-RPG combat with movement-driven exploration, platforming, and magic-based abilities as players travel between its vibrant overworld and a darker, mirrored version of it.
Combat, customization, and dungeons
According to the announcement, Second Stone features high-mobility combat built around fast movement, fluid platforming, and environmental puzzles.
Players will also be able to customize their build by combining elemental stones to create powers and slotting them into gear to shape their preferred combat style.
Outside of combat, the game includes a village hub where players can upgrade equipment, accept quests, and take part in a dice-battler minigame. It also features procedural labyrinth dungeons designed to offer repeatable challenges and rare rewards.
