Thick as Thieves will launch on PC on May 20, publisher Megabit and developer OtherSide Entertainment announced during the Triple-i Initiative showcase.
Set in an alternate-history version of the 1910s, Thick as Thieves is a stealth adventure built around heists, contracts, and replayable missions in the fictional Scottish city of Kilcairn. The new trailer offers another look at the game ahead of its launch next month.
A stealth adventure set in the city of Kilcairn
Thick as Thieves introduces players to Kilcairn, a city shaped by intrigue, powerful families, and opportunities for theft. At launch, the game will include two thieves, two replayable maps, 16 contracts, and six unique pieces of gear.
The game is designed as a curated stealth experience focused on smaller-scale heists rather than a larger open-world structure. Players will take on contracts, uncover more of the city’s history, and build their reputation as they work toward becoming a master thief.
Solo and co-op play are both supported
According to OtherSide Entertainment, Thick as Thieves can be played either solo or in co-op. Each thief has their own style, and players can either work alone or team up with a partner as they adapt to changing situations during a mission.
The game’s structure is built around replayability, with missions changing across playthroughs as players take on new contracts, upgrade gear, and approach objectives in different ways.
Led by veterans of the stealth genre
Thick as Thieves comes from OtherSide Entertainment, with leadership that includes Warren Spector and Paul Neurath, both known for their work on the Thief series. The game is directed by Jeff Hickman, whose previous credits include Star Wars: The Old Republic, Warhammer Online, and Dark Age of Camelot.
