The galaxy’s ruling elite has an amphibian problem. Megabit and Aska Studios have announced a publishing partnership for Gang of Frogs, a co-op shooter about frog outlaws staging raids across dangerous alien worlds.
Community playtest sign-ups are open ahead of an October 1–4 test, giving players an early opportunity to try the game and share feedback before its planned Early Access launch in 2027.
Four-Player Raids and Card-Based Gear Progression
Playable solo or with up to three friends, Gang of Frogs sends its outlaw crew through handcrafted worlds to fight hordes of monsters and bugs, explore strange civilizations, and raid the galaxy’s ruling elite.
Progression involves collecting powerful loot, unlocking skill upgrades, and improving equipment. Players also build a hand of cards infused with old military technology to level up their gear as they fight against an empire that has oppressed frogs for generations.
Between the raids, alien enemies, and heavily armed amphibians, this crew sounds unlikely to make a quiet entrance.
October Playtest Begins a Series of Community Tests
Megabit and Aska Studios plan to hold regular playtests throughout development, letting players try new builds and features while providing feedback directly to the team.
Aska Studios CEO Ólafur Hrafn Steinarsson said putting the game in players’ hands early and frequently is central to the studio’s approach, helping guide development and strengthen its relationship with the community.
Weekly developer updates will also offer a behind-the-scenes look, while the game’s Discord server provides a place to meet other players and speak with the development team.
Gang of Frogs is targeting Early Access in 2027. Players can join the Discord community for updates and wishlist the game on Steam ahead of the October 1–4 playtest.
