Square Enix has revealed Dragon Quest XII: Beyond Dreams as part of its Dragon Quest Day announcements celebrating the series’ 40th anniversary.
The game was previously known as Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate, but Square Enix says development has restarted under a new structure. Alongside the change, the title has been updated to Dragon Quest XII: Beyond Dreams, and the game’s logo has been fully refreshed.
Yuji Horii and Yosuke Saito Share New Messages
To mark the reveal, Square Enix released messages from Yuji Horii, Dragon Quest’s longtime game designer, and Yosuke Saito, the game’s executive producer. The announcement also included in-development gameplay footage.
Square Enix has not announced a release date or platforms for Dragon Quest XII: Beyond Dreams yet.
