Nacon and Midgar Studio have announced that Edge of Memories will receive a free Steam demo on June 15, 2026 during Steam Next Fest.
The demo will feature part of the game’s first chapter, giving players around two hours of content from the opening stretch of Eline’s journey.
Explore the Estfalian Coast
The demo begins with Eline waking on the Estfalian Coast, where she meets Ysoris, a mysterious wanderer with strange prosthetics. After agreeing to escort him to a nearby village, the pair join forces to rescue hunters taken by monsters born from the Corrosion.
Players will explore the game’s first area, learn the foundations of combat, unlock Eline’s first combos, use Ysoris’ abilities, craft potions at campsites, and experiment with enemy weaknesses.
Eline’s Black Beast Power Revealed
The demo ends with the game’s first boss fight and introduces Eline’s hidden power: her transformation into the Black Beast. In this form, she gains temporary strength, deals heavy damage, and can execute enemies with a finishing attack, though she remembers none of it afterward.
A French-Made JRPG From Midgar Studio
Edge of Memories is a third-person action RPG set on the continent of Avaris. The game features music from Cédric Menendez, vocals by Emi Evans and Marion Schneider, character design from Raita Kazama, writing from Sawako Natori, and soundtrack contributions from Mariam Abounnasr and Yasunori Mitsuda.
Edge of Memories launches in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
