Lofty Sky Entertainment will reveal new gameplay for Hope in the City across several summer showcase appearances, beginning with the Insider Gaming Showcase on May 28.
The segment will include a 30-minute conversation with Creative Director Judith Cheung and Game Director Jason Loftus, covering the game’s story, investigative systems, and hand-drawn visual style.
A Mystery Set in Northeast China
Hope in the City is a non-linear narrative mystery following Hope Song, a 17-year-old artist investigating the disappearance of her parents.
Players use Hope’s sketchbook to collect clues, connect ideas, and piece together the truth as they explore a regionally grounded story set in Northeast China.
More Showcase Appearances Planned
After Insider Gaming, Hope in the City will appear in Clemmy’s BIG Summer Showcase, running June 2-9. The game will also be featured during the Women-Led Games Showcase at Summer Game Fest on June 4.
These appearances will show updated gameplay, new cutscene material, and more of Hope’s role as a teenage artist searching for answers.
Hope in the City is currently in development for PC and is available to wishlist on Steam.
