Hope in the City Demo Launches During Choices Matter Festival

Lofty Sky Entertainment has released the Hope in the City demo on Steam during Telltale’s Choices Matter Festival, giving players a first look at its narrative mystery about 17-year-old Hope Song searching for her missing parents.

The demo covers the game’s first act and sends players into the streets and back alleys of Shenyang, where Hope starts finding clues tied to a case that quickly grows beyond one family crisis.

Hope Song Takes the Case Herself

Hope in the City begins when Hope returns home and finds her parents gone.

Rather than waiting for answers, she starts investigating on her own. The case leads her through a calm-looking city with darker secrets sitting under the surface.

Sketchbook-Based Investigation

Hope records clues, observations, and ideas in her notebook.

The game’s Thought-Building mechanic lets players connect scattered details into insights, then turn those insights into breakthroughs that move the case forward.

Players can also pursue leads in different orders, with custom cutscenes tied to investigation progress.
