Devolver Digital and Croteam have officially announced The Talos Principle 3, the final chapter in the long-running philosophical puzzle series. The game is currently in development for PC and PlayStation 5.
The announcement arrived alongside a debut trailer showing new environments, surreal architecture, and the series’ signature first-person puzzle design.
A Journey Into the Anomaly
In The Talos Principle 3, players awaken in a mysterious location known as the Anomaly, described as the only place in the universe where the laws of physics no longer function as they should.
The game takes players across more than a dozen worlds filled with abandoned science outposts, collapsing temples, and increasingly complex puzzles. Players will relive the memories of an explorer as they uncover the history of humanity’s constructed world.
Croteam describes the Anomaly as a place some consider Heaven and others consider Hell, with judgment waiting at the end of the journey.
The Finale to the Trilogy
The original The Talos Principle launched in 2014 and became known for combining first-person puzzle mechanics with philosophical storytelling. The series was later expanded with The Talos Principle 2 in 2023, followed by the updated The Talos Principle: Reawakened in 2025.
According to Devolver Digital and Croteam, The Talos Principle 3 will serve as the conclusion to the trilogy more than a decade after the original game’s debut.
No release date has been announced yet for the PC and PlayStation 5 releases.
