Oddiko has revealed a new trailer for Meadgard, its upcoming 1-4 player co-op tavern adventure. The trailer debuted during The MIX Summer Showcase and shows more of the game’s mix of tavern management, monster hunting, cooking, crafting, and Norse mythology.
A demo is planned for August.
Hunt by Day, Serve by Night
In Meadgard, players head out by longship to gather ingredients before returning to serve hungry and impatient tavern patrons.
Players can hunt wild boar, fight trolls, dodge nissar, and gather supplies before turning those ingredients into meals and drinks for customers. Back at the tavern, players will pour mead, cook recipes, and entertain guests.
Tavern Upgrades and Norse Gods
Players can upgrade their tavern, grow crops, brew potions, craft weapons, and decorate their alehouse between runs.
Eventually, members of the Norse pantheon may visit the tavern. Keeping them happy can earn blessings, while upsetting them may bring divine punishment.
Co-op Chaos for Up to Four Players
Meadgard supports solo play and online co-op for up to four players. The game also includes godly trials, town upgrades, NPCs with their own stories, and improvised weaponry ranging from fish to frying pans.
Meadgard is available to wishlist now and will be featured in the Women-Led Games Steam Event from June 4-14.
