Wired Productions and Glee-Cheese have revealed Mr. Records, a new rhythm adventure about music, memory, and second chances.
Revealed during Day of the Devs, Mr. Records follows George, an aging dreamer who finally opens the record shop he spent decades imagining. With his loyal dog, Buzz, by his side, George helps customers find the perfect soundtrack for their lives while exploring the memories hidden inside each vinyl record.
Every Record Tells a Story
Mr. Records turns each vinyl into a playable musical journey.
When George plays a record, players enter surreal rhythm stages shaped by memories, emotions, and imagination. Across more than 40 handcrafted levels, players will run, jump, slide, dodge, and chain actions to the beat.
Some records are joyful. Others explore regret, lost love, and the life George never fully lived.
Run Your Own Record Shop
Between rhythm stages, players manage George’s record store.
Each day brings new customers, new vinyl, and musical riddles. Players will need to learn each record, understand customer tastes, recommend the right album, and slowly grow the shop into a place where music changes lives.
A Soundtrack Across Many Genres
Mr. Records features a broad mix of original music, including funk, progressive rock, hip-hop, electro, world music, and 80s pop.
The game includes 45 original records composed by the developers, giving each stage its own sound and emotional tone.
George’s Bedroom Hub
Players can spend time in George’s bedroom above the shop between musical journeys.
There, they can review memories, track progress, take calls, and reflect on George’s story as his past gradually comes into focus.
More Than a Rhythm Game
Glee-Cheese Creative Director Charles Bardin said Mr. Records was built around the way music can bring people back to specific memories, relationships, and emotions.
Wired Productions Managing Director Leo Zullo said the game pairs strong rhythm gameplay with a personal story about memory, human connection, and the courage to start over.
Mr. Records is available to wishlist now on Steam.
