Wired Productions and Glee-Cheese have released the first public Mr. Records demo on Steam ahead of October’s Steam Next Fest.
The publisher also confirmed PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, joining the previously announced PC and Nintendo Switch 2 releases.
Run George’s Record Shop
Mr. Records follows George, an older dreamer who finally breaks from his routine and opens the record store he always wanted.
During the day, players run the shop, meet customers, recommend albums, add new stock, and build a record collection.
Each customer brings their own story and musical preferences, turning record recommendations into small puzzles.
Step Inside Each Song
At night, George’s imagination transforms songs into playable rhythm stages.
Players run, jump, slide, dodge, and chain timed actions across more than 40 handcrafted levels inspired by different tracks.
Stages can introduce rhythm battles, chase sequences, minigames, environmental changes, and other mechanical twists.
Music Tells George’s Story
Records also reveal pieces of George’s past through memories, photographs, notes, and other story elements.
Some tracks focus on happier moments, while others deal with regret, relationships, and opportunities George left behind.
His bedroom above the shop serves as a hub where players can review memories, follow progress, take calls, and spend time between stages.
Demo Available Now
The Mr. Records public demo is available now exclusively on Steam.
The full game is in development for PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. You can currently wishlist it on Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation, and Xbox, with Nintendo Switch 2 wishlisting planned for later.
