Silent Hill: Townfall Launches September 24 on PS5, Pre-Orders Now Live

Konami has confirmed that Silent Hill: Townfall will launch for PlayStation 5 on September 24, 2026. The release date was revealed during Sony’s State of Play, alongside a new trailer showing more of the game’s characters, puzzles, creature encounters, and PlayStation 5 features.

The new entry marks the third consecutive fall season for the series, following Silent Hill 2 in 2024 and Silent Hill f in 2025.

Simon Returns to St. Amelia

Silent Hill: Townfall follows Simon as he finds himself drawn to St. Amelia, a place he does not recognize. The new trailer introduces Zoe, a nurse from a local family clinic and the voice previously heard through the CRTV in earlier footage.

Zoe appears to know Simon, calling for him to return to the island while also questioning why he has come there. That contradiction sits at the center of the mystery, as Simon tries to understand where he is, who Zoe is, and what connection he may have to St. Amelia.

Narrative-Driven Puzzles Shape the Story

Silent Hill: Townfall places a strong focus on puzzles that are directly tied to the story. Rather than serving as separate obstacles, the puzzles are designed around the locations, characters, and events Simon encounters.

Developer Screen Burn says each puzzle was built alongside the writing process, meaning solutions can reveal more about St. Amelia and the situation Simon faces. Some puzzles shown in the trailer appear grounded, while others lean into the series’s more surreal horror elements.

New Creature Revealed

The trailer also gives players a first look at a new creature stalking Simon through the Otherworld.

Combat will play a role in some encounters, but not every enemy can be fought directly. In certain situations, players will need to hide, observe, and avoid detection. Silent Hill: Townfall uses the CRTV and a peek mechanic to help players assess threats, stay out of sight, and move through dangerous spaces.

Being seen can trigger a chase, making careful movement a major part of survival.

PS5 Features and DualSense Support

Silent Hill: Townfall will use several features of the PlayStation 5 and DualSense controller.

Adaptive triggers will mimic the feel of firearms, while haptic feedback will communicate environmental threats, including the heavy footsteps of nearby creatures. The game will also include motion-controlled interactions, such as physically twisting the CRTV to fine-tune weak signals.

These features are designed to make the CRTV and other in-hand objects feel more tactile during exploration and puzzle-solving.

Pre-Orders and Editions

Silent Hill: Townfall is now available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store.

The Standard Edition includes the base game, with pre-order bonuses offering the CRTV: Rusted and CRTV: Beach Edition cosmetics.

The Deluxe Edition includes those bonuses, along with Simon’s Outfit: Alternate, a Bonus Application featuring an interactive artbook and digital soundtrack, and 48-hour early access.

Silent Hill: Townfall launches September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5.
